Dour Doorway

Even the shady areas of Paris contain inherent charm and exude compelling character. On a side street near Belleville in the north of the city ancient architecture is obscured by graffiti while the shops have a gritty feel rather than a fashionable air.

On this mellow weekend afternoon two brothers huddled in a darkened doorway, one looking up to the other for protection, the other looking out to the world for hope.
