Strolling through New York City’s Central Park at any time of year, one is struck by the serenity of the ecological marvel designed by visionary landscape architect Frederick Olmsted...if you’re really lucky the classical features of the giant public space will even echo with classical music, as it did this Sunday morning behind the Met.

A solitary street performer plied his violin’s strings silhouetted beneath a solid stone bridge, the reverent reverberations having seemingly evicted the troll population with the music echoing outward to sooth the savage beast that is Manhattan.
